The Bad Weather could not destroy the spritis of Wakestock Festival Goers

in spite of rain on Saturday ramp the ground into a swamp the festival saw near-capacity 15,000 crowds each night at Penrhos, near Pwllheli, Gwynedd.
Dizzee Rascal and The Zutons were among Sunday's headliners on the last day of the event, which merges wakeboarding with music.
Other headline performances at the 10th Wakestock event as well as Moby and NERD.
The three-day festival started life as a wakeboard competition but over the years has morphed into a music festival.
Wakeboarding engage riding a short, broad water ski like a surfboard and performing tricks, including spins of up to 180 degrees, as the board is pulled by a boat.
Spectators were not in the condition to follow every move and see every "stack" while standing only a few metres away from the action.

The festival is divided over three sites – the foremost festival site at Penrhos, Pwllheli Marina hosts the main wakeboard competition and Abersoch Bay hosts the Big Air Classic competition is held. The festival was founded in 2000. At present it is the biggest wakeboard music festival in Europe, with 25,000 people attending the festival in 2007, which will be held from 20 July - 21 July. The festival was cancelled on 21 July after severe weather conditions affected both the campsite and stages, though the wakeboarding continued as normal. The Wakestock Action Sports and Music Festival is a wakeboarding contest and Canada’s largest action sports and music festival. It also take place in Ontario, Canada on the Toronto Islands, Toronto, Ontario. The name Wakestock refers to the renowned outdoor music festival Woodstock.
