Introduction To Wakestock Festival

Wakestock is Europe's largest wakeboard concert Festival. It is held on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales. The festival is divided over three sites – the foremost festival site at Penrhos, Pwllheli Marina hosts the main wakeboard competition and Abersoch Bay hosts the Big Air Classic competition is held. The festival was founded in 2000. At present it is the biggest wakeboard music festival in Europe, with 25,000 people attending the festival in 2007, which will be held from 20 July - 21 July. The festival was cancelled on 21 July after severe weather conditions affected both the campsite and stages, though the wakeboarding continued as normal. Most people were told to leave the campsite, but the wakestock staff managed to find a new field for the remaining people who could not leave to stay the remaining night.

The Wakestock Action Sports and Music Festival is a wakeboarding contest and Canada’s largest action sports and music festival. It also take place in Ontario, Canada on the Toronto Islands, Toronto, Ontario. The name Wakestock refers to the renowned outdoor music festival Woodstock.
